PADDYS SHOTA MERADA

"Paddy" was purchased as a weanling at the John Scott Dispersion Sale in 2000. We were instantly attracted to his outstanding conformation and physical presence, as we were looking for a stallion prospect that had winners throughout his pedigree, but was also versatile enough to perform in any aspect of the performance world. Is an NCHA money-earner, has his NCHA Certificate of Ability and is an aged event winner with limited showing.  In 2004 "Paddy" was one of only two horses to make it to the finals in both the Open and Non-Pro Derby at the Canadian Supreme.  He was the MCHA Open Derby Champion, SSCHA Winter Series Open Champion, and has won or placed in nearly every event he has entered. View his Pedigree &  Gallery

Paddy is an own son of the great PADDYS IRISH WHISKEY (LTE $12,149. NCHA), who is arguably one of the most versatile sires today.  He has sired offspring that have won over $1.6 million in nearly every performance event, ranging from Cutting, Reined Cowhorse, Reining, Roping and Versatility Ranch Horse.  He is an All-Time Leading SIre in the NRCHA and NRHA.  PADDYS IRISH WHISKEY is a full brother to Grays Starlight and Gallo Del Cielo ("Rooster.")

Paddys Shota Merada's dam, MOLLIE MERADA (LTE $7650 NCHA) 1994 Texas Gold Non-Pro Futurity Champion, and has her Certificate of Ability. Mollie is an own daughter of FRECKLES MERADA (LTE of $106,684) and she is proving to be a great producer as well, with offspring winning nearly $100,00. NCHA,  including Merada Boonsmal.
The PADDYS SHOTA MERADA colts are versatile all-around horses and we have never had a bad report on one in five foal crops.  We are riding quite a few at the ranch and I can't say enough about them. They have a lot of cow, they are quick, athletic and yet they are really easy to start,  as they just give you "what you want" kind of attitude. 

The "Paddys" are performers as well;  they are doing well in Reining and Team Penning. One of his colts, Paddys Shota Spark (pictured below) won the Montana Reined Cowhorse Stallion Stakes Futurity in 2009.  Look for them again at some major Reining and Reined Cowhorse events in 2010.  Paddy's colts are eligible for the Montana Reined Cowhorse and the Canadian Supreme as they become of age.
