Web Design Services

If you need design services, whether it be for complete website creation, or assistance with page design and promotion on your own site, we can help design and create your pages, host them on our site, and submit to search engines, etc.  All we need are your ideas and what you wish to accomplish.  We can take it from there and work with you throughout the process.

If changes need to be made to your page which require more than 10 minutes work, there is a $35 per hour fee with no minimum charge. Example: a 10 minute change or addition would be free;  a 15 minute project would cost  $8.75 no matter what task was performed (scanning, editing text, creating web-ready logos and other artwork, etc.)

We like our clients to know up front what their costs will be, therefore,  fees are quoted as annual charges and include design, page creation, photo scanning, search engine submission, and minor updates throughout the year.

What size is a web "page?"

Our web design and creation is $150 for the first page, and $100 per additional page, annually. A "page" is not as easy to define on the web as it is on a piece of paper, because the measurement is in file size, not square inches.  We set 100K (kilobytes) as the page standard. Anything larger than that becomes slow to load, and people will become impatient and leave your site before the page comes up. (This page is 66K in file size,  24K of which is used by the photo in the header and the animated dog image.)

A typical "page" would have 3 pictures and a generous amount of text on it. Pictures gobble up file size faster than text, so if you needed lots of text, maybe a page would have 2 pictures and more text, or a greater number of smaller pictures with the text, etc. As a "rule of thumb," a page will contain about as much as a printed flier, may be 3 monitor screens in length, and take 2 pages to print on the average printer. This should give you a general idea of what you can expect to display on a 100K page.

Understanding the "hosting fee"

Hosting your custom designed pages on our site is a separate annual fee.   This fee,  which you might think of  as a "parking fee,"  covers the storage space for your web pages on the server that is connected to the internet.  This is the cost of maintaining web space on a server that does not place other advertising or banners on your pages,  or sell your visitors information to a third party.  We prefer to pay this reasonable cost to protect your privacy and receive faster,  hassle-free page loading.  This fee does not apply to WamegoWeb Business Directory Ads.

Please let me know what other questions you may have.  I look forward to assisting you in developing your web site and achieving your business goals.
